What is FeeWise?

FeeWise is a payments technology platform enabling law firms to accept client payments by card or eCheck. For more info on FeeWise check out our about page here

Can anyone sign up to FeeWise?

Currently FeeWise is only available to law firms who are operating in the US. However, we are planning to launch in other markets in the near future so if you would like to know when give us a shout at sales@getfeewise.com.

How long does the application process take?

The FeeWise application process is very quick. We just need your business details, the business banking details, and the ownership details which is captured as part of our application form. Once we have the required onboarding information, we will process your application and activate your account within 24 hours so long as the information provided is correct.

How much does FeeWise cost?

FeeWise is a subscription free pay-as-you go payments product so you only pay when your client pays by card or eCheck. For a complete list of our transaction fees visit our pricing page here.

What payment methods do you accept?

With FeeWise you can accept payments from most local and international card schemes including Visa, Mastercard, Discover, AMEX, Diners Club, JCB, Union Pay and more. We also accept payments by ACH / e-Check too.

Are there any payment minimums or maximums?

For payments made by card, there is a maximum payment amount of $49,999 USD in a single day which is government enforced. For e-Check the maximum is $5,000 USD. There are no minimums for card and or e-Check.

When do I get paid?

Our standard payout time is between 2-7 business days from the date of payment and will vary by bank and payment method. 

How do refunds work?

Only a law firm can request and approve a client refund. To do this, a law firms needs to contact us at support@getfeewise.com with the refund details. Once received, we will process the refund request within 14 days and provide a confirmation once completed. The FeeWise transaction fees are non-refundable in the event of a refund.

How do chargebacks work?

Whilst we have a number of fraud protections in place, FeeWise does not assume any liability in the event of a chargeback. There is a $15 USD chargeback fee applied to each chargeback in addition to the full payment amount and FeeWise transaction fee. Any chargeback cost will be applied to your next monthly bill and you will be notified in advance by our support team.
